Does it cost anything?
No. Cleared to Secure is free for security professionals — to apply, interview, train and keep your passport.
Can security companies find me?
Only if you turn on “open to work”. Employers then see your first name, area, the roles you want, your availability and which checks are verified — never your contact details or documents. They can invite you to apply; you decide.
Who can see my information?
Only employers you apply to or choose to share your passport with. You can see who you've shared it with.
Do I still need checks done by a new employer?
Yes. Your new employer still has to complete and confirm their own screening, but having your history, licence and documents ready in your passport makes it much quicker.
Is the interview done by a person?
The first interview is with an AI interviewer (called Alex unless the employer has renamed it), so you can do it any time. The employer's team reads your answers and makes every decision.
